Yes, we're still alive

So, I'm pretty sure nobody probably looks at our blog anymore. That's okay. This is for me anyways and it's unfortunate that I'm so bad at journaling. We moved into our house in August and it has been so nice to be able to relax once in a while and to be able to be home with my husband. There are still a lot of projects to be done but I figure that will never change. I'll post some pictures when I get the babies room put together.

Baby # 2 is coming anytime now and we can't wait to meet her. This pregnancy has been a lot easier than the first. I'm not sure if that's because we've been so busy with the house and with Alli. Alli constantly talks about baby sister and frequently says, "Lets get her out." She will be a great big sister and fits the bossy roll perfectly.

Alli is 2 yrs and 3 months going on 16. She talks like crazy and definitely seems older than 2. She is a pro at the ABC's, counting, shapes, colors and loves to sing "I am a Child of God" along with many other songs. I love to listen to her sing and she never hesitates to sing to the baby.

We had a fantastic Halloween. We went to an awesome party put on by the Buttars and Webbs. I went as Prego Spaghetti Sauce and Andy was a plate of spaghetti and meatballs. Alli was Minnie Mouse for Halloween and we got to go to Andy's work on Friday and trick-or-treat. She absolutely loved it! I'm only posting a couple of pictures because I have good intentions of posting more after the baby comes. We'll see if that happens.

Life, or something like it

Well, since I last posted, we've celebrated many things. To name a few: Andy's birthday (the big 25!), mother's day, the ever pressing task of building your own home and the fact that this cute little face will get to be a big sister! We're having another baby, due on November 9 (my mom's b-day) and we are ecstatic!! I am 15 1/2 wks and we'll find out what we're having June 16.

In other news, the house is still alive and kickin'. We got our cabinets in and they look awesome! It's fun to see the final aspects come together. Andy continues to work full time as an internal auditor and spends every night and every Saturday at the house. He is currently working on the wood floor, siding, and painting the molding. He works EXTREMELY hard, does not get stressed and always remains calm. With everything on his plate he continues to be a fantastic dad and amazing husband! He is so very patient with my pregnancy orneriness. I love him to death.

I also got the chance to get out and spend some quality time with these lovely ladies (minus Michelle. You just live too dang far away.) Andy took a night off at the house to watch Alli. We left early afternoon, did some shopping, ate dinner and went to Wicked. I must say, it was wicked awesome. No pun intended. The music, the lights, the costumes, the singing! It was the fastest 2 hrs and 45 min of my life. I recommend it to anybody who gets the chance to go.

As for Miss A, she never fails to make us laugh, is quick as a whip, and is the cutest thing in the world! She now sleeps fantastically in a big girl bed and loves to show people her room at the new house. Apparently the new baby will sleep in the closet of the other bedroom. Maybe she has memories of when she slept in a closet and thinks that's just normal practice for babies. She talks like crazy and is a pro at singing Happy Birthday. She knows everybody's name at Day Care, even better than me I'm afraid, and loves babies. She will be such a good big sister.
I spend my days working, neglecting laundry, playing with Alli, taking dinner to Andy, neglecting laundry, going to bed as early as I can, and neglecting laundry. I'm going for the world record. Guinness anyone? I've been feeling pretty good besides the second trimester headaches. I'm also missing my husband. Our only link of communication is via e-mail. We HAVE managed to go on two dates since our anniversary. One of which was going to Wal-mart and the other was seeing X-men origins. I was very excited about the last one and was not disappointed. Well, how could anyone be disappointed with the Hugh? It was amazing. I am a HUGE X-men fan and I loved it! Oh, and if the Hugh doesn't do it for you, we'll take a little Ryan Reynolds on the side. Well, that's all for now. My next post will be in approximately 3 months.
P.S. Will somebody please find me a cute baby ticker? I just don't have the time to find one. I would greatly appreciate it.

A to the N-N to the IVERSARY # 5!!

You read right! Last Friday marked our 5th anniversary. It's amazing how time flies. It was my turn this year to plan so we celebrated a week early. Earlier in the week I had asked Andy if we could go out to dinner on Saturday. He was game and didn't suspect anything since it was a week before the big day. He also mentioned that maybe we could go to a movie. I talked him in to going to dinner early. We went to Sizzler at about 5:30 pm. The "movie" that we were going to didn't start until 7. He thought we should kill some time so we headed to Home Depot. What's a romantic weekend without going to the Depot? While we were walking around, I was trying to get him to leave, but also trying to play it cool so he wouldn't think anything was up. When we finally left, I took the driver's seat and told him I needed to go to Lee's. I was going to go in and rent a movie, but there was a long line at the red box. When I got back in the car, I told Andy that he couldn't ask any questions and he had to close his eyes. He got an excited look on his face and said, "This is so unlike you." He played along and didn't cheat, or so he says. We ended up at the Anniversary Inn, or the AI as I like to call it, in a room called Rich's Drive In. It was awesome! It's one of their new rooms and it has it's own theatre in it with an old truck so it's like a drive-in movie. My mom was nice enough to watch Alli for us and we had a great time.

The room came complete with popcorn, candy, soda fountain and hot dog. I have to admit, the hot dogs were the main selling point of the room. A girl needs her hot dog!

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end but we definitely had a great time. And yes that is Sport's Center playing on the T.V. in the back ground.
Confession: when I read other people's blogs about how their husbands are the best, I'm secretly thinking, "Yeah right, mine totally takes the cake." Hate to offend somebody but that's how it goes.
Here are a few reasons why I have the BHITW:
He always has a level head
He keeps me calm and living in reality
He is the best daddy ever
He is ambitious and not afraid of hard work
He is good with numbers and budgeting
He is very smart but not nerdy, ok, the glasses are kind of nerdy, but what can you do?
We love to do the same things
We have a blast together
He is a very thoughtful gift giver. He puts a lot of thought into his gifts and they really mean something.
He is building me a beautiful new home and isn't overwhelmed with working a full time job and spending nights and weekends on the house.
I love you Andy and your accident prone self! Happy Anniversary!!
Quick trip down memory lane

My 16th birthday and my first date. We went to dinner at the Copper Mill and Andy had a dozen red roses delivered to our table while we were eating.

Homecoming dance Andy's Sr. year, my Jr. year.
Shortly after we were engaged.
Engagement photo. I'm sure ours kids will laugh their butts off at these pictures in 30 years.
A few hours before Alli was born. Notice how well rested Andy is after his 3 naps that day. (BTW, Alli was born the same day the last Harry Potter came out. My mom was nice enough to bring us a copy.)

Tag

I got tagged by Tami a while ago but didn't notice. It's hard to keep up with her blog when she posts about 5 new things a day. JK Tam! Since I don't have time to post something with pictures, this is what you get!

Rules: Write 6 random things about yourself, link the person who tagged you & post the rules. Tag six people.

1. I was once a rollerblade junky. I had a season pass to Classic Skating (for those of you from Cache Valley, that's a rollerskating rink that also has waterslides.) I would go every day after school. I didn't have any friends that loved it as much as I did so I would go by myself. I would also go out for hours during the summer and go up Provo Canyon. Since I am the third child in my family, my mom wasn't too concerned with all my absent hours from home.

2. I always wanted to be an Emcee. I wanted to make sick (slang for freakin' awesome) hip hop remixes.

3. I love Britney, always have, always will. Say what you want, I don't care.

4. I used to be a mega tomboy. I have "girled" out in my older years.

5. I could live in sweats and old t-shirts if society would allow.

6. I asked Andy for a suggestion for that last one and this is what he said.
You give excellent foot massages
You spell very well
You have really thick hair
You hate watching college basketball (He is wrong here. College basketball is my favorite sport to watch. I just hate watching every second of every game that is on t.v. which he insists on doing.)
You eat a lot of ice cream
You expect your husband to be a mind reader
He said a few other things, but I will spare the details.

There you have it!!

18 months?!

Our baby turned 18 months old yesterday. I am definitely in denial of this fact. I am still sitting here in confusion as to what happened to my sweet little baby.

Here are some fun facts about this active little toddler.

She LOVES to watch the Mickey Mouse Club House.

She is finally getting some hair.

She loves the water and is pretty much fearless.

She loves her best buddy, Daddy.

She loves to help Grandma with all of her projects.

And like a true girl, loves to shop!
She also loves books, animals, cousins and all of her friends at Day Care. She says gobs of words and does pretty much any animal sound. She is also obsessed with tractors and "wotion." (Tractor was one of her first words.) She can also count to ten and sing several songs. (She started making up her own words to the Apple, Apple, A A A song.) She enjoys dancing and helping out around the house. She keeps us laughing and constantly reminds us that she is the boss. The other day, she lifted up my shirt and asked, "Poopie, poopie?" I guess since I check her bum all the time, she thought she should check mine.
We love you Alli and your sweet spirit. We are so lucky that you found your way into our lives. We are so excited for the up and coming adventures we will share.
Love, Mom and Dad
